Trophy Winner Best White Wine in Show

Judging panel chair, Corey Ryan, described it as an “outstanding“ example of modern-style Australian Chardonnay in a solid class of wines. “It was tight and steely, with lovely intensity of flavour,” he said.

Medium gold, stone fruit and citrus blossom. White peach and citrus with a hint of brioche, good weight and mouthfeel. An elegant wine. Vegan Friendly.

Vinification
Free run juice taken and placed directly into new & seasoned French Oak barrels. Indigenous yeast ferment, matured for 12 months.

Vintage Conditions
In 2019 exceptional winter rainfall gave us a full soil moisture profile and budburst occurred on par with long term averages with very solid early shoot growth. Mid December through to the early March was extremely dry with virtually no rainfall. The mild days and cool nights in late February and early March aided in the final ripen creating strong varietal characters and crisp natural acids.

Wine Reviewer Comments

Super toasty complexity on the nutty/figgy nose with lovely richness and depth of toasty/lemon meringue flavours with controlled lemony length - Winestate Magazine

Aromas of pear, honey and malt; subtle tropical notes. The palate is light-bodied and delicate, restrained and fresh, with fine balance and moderate length. It's subtle and moreish. Oak is underplayed. A very good modern Australian chardonnay.
